Intensive reading course the next two weeks in Primary class

Friday, January 8th, 2010

The next two weeks we will carry out an intensive reading course in cooperation with Kolding Realskole. Every day in third lessons the fulltime students will read for 20 minutes. We have been to the library and borrowed books for the course. We will read both Danish and English books. At the end of the course the older students in the Primary class will do a book report on one of the chosen books.

Darwin days this week Thursday and Friday

As the school was closed due to the bad weather before Christmas, we have decided to relocate our two Darwin days this coming Thursday and Friday.

We are looking forward to having two inspiring and significant days.

Darwin days at The Cosmo

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

Tomorrow and Friday will be “Darwin days” at The Cosmo. The Science teachers have done a tremendous job in working together so the students in both Primary and Lower Secondary will be able to wrap up the school year of 2009 gaining knowledge from Charles Robert Darwin´s work.

The students will work together in groups within a mix of both classes and the introduction will start at 8.05 am. Thursday the students will have normal lessons from 1 pm and the rest of the day. Friday from 1 until 2 pm the students will among other things present their projects with the audience of several teachers and the part time students. The teachers that normally teach Thursday and Friday at The Cosmo will attend and help with the Darwin project.

We all look forward to some instructive and exciting days.

When you are a teenager and are cutting decorations for Christmas, you definetely do not want to have your picture taken.

Christmas decorations

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Tomorrow we will decorate our classrooms for Christmas. After we are done cutting paper chains, red and green goblins, Christmas trees, folding paper stars and hearts, we will hopefully end up in a great Christmas mood.

The students are more than welcome to bring patterns and christmas music on a cd. The students in Lower Secondary will decorate from 8 am until 11 am, and the Primary students will decorate from 8 am until noon.

We hope that we will have a nice and different school day with all the students.

Dear Cosmo students and parents,

IMG 6652 300x200 Dear Cosmo students and parents,Once again the school parties have come to an end, and the teachers and I wish to thank each one of you for a couple of very nice evenings. It is always a pleasure to meet under more informal circumstances, where we have a chance to talk with each other in a less structured manner.

It is impossible to avoid that a huge project like our school parties with between 800 and 1000 guests each evening will cause some disturbances in our everyday life and daily routines, but I do believe that everything has gone without problems, and that it has been an eventful week for us all to remember.IMG 6842 300x200 Dear Cosmo students and parents,

So thank you very much for your participation and your good spirits.

On behalf of the teachers,

The school fotographer is coming

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

From Thursday November 5th until Tuesday November 10th the school fotographer will visit Kolding Realskole and The Cosmo to take pictures of the students.

The students will receive a paper for you to fill in and sign and hand back to the class room teacher Monday November 9th at the latest.

A group photo will be taken, and you are able to choose individual pictures of your own child as well.
